Solving 1 and 2 step equations using Algebra tiles

Activity

In class we used abgebra tiles to solve 1 and 2 step equations. This hands on activity came in handy when trying to learn how to solve 1 and 2 step equations. It showed us, and got us physically involved in the problem we were trying to solve.

Purpose

The purpose of this activity was to learn how to solve equations using a visual. It was a quick, helpful and efficient way of helping us learn.

Learned

I learned how to solve equation in a different way. This activity allowed me to have a visual sence for what we were doing. I learned how to use algebra title to benefit me, and help me with my math work.

How I could have learned more/differently

I could have learned more/differently if we would have done some kind of project with the algebra tiles. Or if we would have done something different with different kinds of activities and thinf with the algebra tiles.

How it relates to my goal

This activity honestly doesn't really relate to my goals for the year.
