Typing Test

What was the activity??

In second quarter, in my technology class, we had to take typing test. We had to aim for 25 words per minute with 85 percent accuracy. We used the website http://www.typeonline.co.uk/.

The Purpose

THe purpose of this activity was to teach us how to type faster and the correct way. Most of us type by looking at the keyboard. And our typing isn't really as fast as it should be. But if we practice our typing the right way we could get our typeing up to standards.

What I learned….

I hadn’t typed in a long time and I was used to typing my way so my first test didn’t go so well. But luckily that test wasn’t worth a lot of points. When I found out we had a week to study a re-take the test I went home and went onto the website and worked on typing the correct way. After studying, when I got back to class and I took the test again, I did a lot better than I did the first time.

How I could have learned more/differently…

I could have learned more or differntly if I either would have already known how to type well, took learning how to type more seriously back in elementary school, or took the time to study longer after the first test.

How does this activity relate to my goals this year??

This activity relates to my goals because this activity gave my the push I needed to make an A and inprove my typing.
