Quarter 1 and 2 Physical Education

Activity

In most of first quarter and practically all of the second quarter, in our P.E class we played soccer. We would go to the soccer field in the front of the campus to play after we ran 3 or 4 laps around the Joffery’s/ British school/ High school area. But when we would play it wasn’t like we were playing real soccer if was mostly just for fun. We didn’t really have any rules, except for handballs and out of bounds, but other than that we just had fun.

Purpose

The main purpose that was supposed to be for this was to teach us how to play soccer. Yeah, we learned some about how to play, and the rules and things, but we most didn’t really start using the rues until soccer season came around. We still just played for fun without all the rules but we used more of the rules than we did in the beginning of the quarter.

Learned

When I started playing soccer I didn’t really have much of an appreciation for it, but after we started playing it EVERY Phys. Ed. class I kind of had to learn to like it or P.E would have been a drag. I started out playing defense but as I knew, I have absolutely no foot-eye coordination. So I started being goalie. I eventually got the hang of it and learned the rule to soccer and being goalie, and kind got pretty good at it. It became really fun. Learning how to be a good goalie during P.E class gave me the confidence to try-out for the soccer team. And luckily, unbelievably I made the A-Team. I did ok. But there is still a lot I have yet to learn about soccer.

How I could have learned better

I could have learned better if we would have been playing with some actual structure and with rule during our game in P.E class. That’s about it. All I can think of.

Relation to this year’s goals

Ummm, I’m actually not quite sure how playing soccer ties into my goals for the year. It doesn’t really have anything to do with me being organized. But I guess it was fun, and helped me to easily get a good grade in this class. So, ya, I guess it does have a little to do with one of my goals for the year.
